The Truck Yard

We ate at a very unique place while in Dallas called The Truck Yard. A small restaurant at the front but at the
back it has a seating area and different food trucks each day.
It was decorated with old tires and parts of cars and trucks. It was a nice family friendly and pet friendly
place.Music and people just sitting around enjoying theirselves.

A great concept. The food was good also.

For all you Dallas fans we also visited the SouthFork Ranch. It was a very interesting tour to hear
about the history of the actual ranch and learn how it became part of a TV dynasty

The state of Texas a place to revisit someday and continue to see all the great places it has to offer

The roadtrip continues-------

Until next time

Dallas Texas

Dallas a place that I would like to visit again  for a longer period of time. A clean city.

We visited The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. It was very interesting and informative.
It contains over 400 historic television and radio broadcast, photos and artifacts. It is a very
different situation to look at and review a part of history that you remember and experienced,
.November 22 1963 is a day that I still remember where I was when I heard the news.
I was in high school in my Home Ec class when the news was announced to us. I still remember
the shock and disbelief. This part of history is still being debated.

There is also a small memorial down the street from the museum at the location of the grassy knoll.
The streets have white x marks showing the location of the first and second shots. If you get a chance
it is well worth a visit.

The web site is jfk.org If you have vivid memories of the assassination or significant events of the
60's you can contact the museum at oralhistory@jfk.org

More to come

Until next time

Nashville Tenn

We are here at our first stop. It is cold and we saw some beautiful snow driving here.

We did a little sightseeing and shopping this afternoon.
We love the Pro Bass Store. It is great just to walk around in and see all the exhibits they have.

Remember the Dukes of Hazzard? We visited the little museum and store they have here in Nashville/
 The General Lee

Daisy Duke's Jeep

They had their own little Walk of Fame close to the museum. They had quite a few hand and foot prints.
Cold but enjoyable afternoon.

Up early and headed toward Oklahoma City.
Please continue to pray for our safety on this journey.

Traveling Styles

What style of traveler are you? Structured or Spontaneous? There are many styles of travelers.

My daughter Jaime I would call a travel agent with a itinerary. We have great trips and see unusal
and different things. She researches and finds roadside attractions for us to see. She has the mileage the time
and the place all lined up. Her dream is to visit every American state and do at least one attraction in that
state. We just about have the east coast taken care of. Our next road trip is coming up and I shall enjoy
keeping you up on our adventure heading west.

My husband and I are repeaters. We like to go to the sameplace more than once. There are so many
things and places to see that most of the time it can't be done in one visit.I try to have a few things
planned and then the rest we play it by ear as the old saying goes. Plus unlike my girl Jaime we like to
rest and do nothing at times.

But truth be told I love any kind of traveling New places, old places doesn't matter to me just say
let's go and I am packed and ready.

I am thankful and do not take for granted this blessing of being able to travel on a shoestring budget.
P&J is great while traveling down the road.

A quote with no name attached to it
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take
but by the moments that take our breath away"

ETC/ Mama/Assisted Living

Relief
Thankfulness
Peace
Contentment

It is with a deep sigh of all the above. My Mama likes her new living arrangements and is content to
be there.
So many sleeplessness nights and prayers went into this decision and Thank God it seems to have
been the right one.
She has gained five pounds so the food is good. She is getting her hair and her nails done every week.
Mama is taking part in the activities each day and enjoying her time. Bingo is her favorite thing and it
is played a couple of times a week Life is good for her and she deserves every minute of it.

Until next time
God Bless
